The Heroes AIDS Project seeks to harness India’s communication power and potential to address the spread of HIV & AIDS and reduce stigma and discrimination, by influencing public perception and policy through two platforms: advocacy and media. It correspondingly works through two avenues in its initiative: a communication campaign and a societal leaders programme.
- To involve societal leaders actively in campaigns & events on the issues related to stigma & discrimination
- To provide technical support to SACS & SLP to help design mass & mid media campaigns focusing on key populations
- To engage media for mainstreaming the issues related to stigma & discrimination
